Simply Awesome

Pros: Durable, Stylish, simple to use
Cons: limited interface
I had initial problems with my MiFi device. I had one that died after a week and another that didn't work ever. I picked up the third one from a different Sprint store and had no problem with this one. It is ridiculously easy to set up and is made idiot-proof by having only one button on it. Having my laptop and my wife's laptop both connected at the same time is wonderful.
My only complaints are that this thing is almost *too* dumbed down. It is difficult to troubleshoot it on your own. Your only option is to power cycle it and hope for the best. If you log on to the web interface for it, you can see logs and perhaps get more information, but you have to take it in to get it fixed.

Pros: reliable network connection, seamless connectivity
This is great product and it works seamlessly. Tech Support was good--I needed help adding a password-I had no wait and dealt with a knowledgeable rep who was located in the US.
Be aware that the battery is not charged through the computer's usb port. I often use it in conference when up to 5 users log on. I can use up to a full charge after about 1 hour so I am about to purchase an additional, swapable battery. I have been using it sine July 2009.

Fast, easy, and secure.
Allows me to connect to my iPod touch, Macbook Pro, 360, and Windows laptop seamlessly. Great styling, matches my Macbook.
For those whom have concern about it cutting off automatically, there's an update for it that was recently released.

Great Product

Awesome! We live in a rural area and never thought we could have high-speed internet. Now we do! Set up was very easy...had it working in 10 minutes. Have both Mac and PC, and no problems with either. 5GB per month data limit appears to be adequate...even with a teenager in the house! Glad we took the plunge and got one...should have done it sooner!

great product

Pros: easy to set up and use.
Where I live my internet options are severly limited. My closest cell tower is miles away yet somehow I get 3 bars and this device makes this into a decent internet connection. What amazes me is how this device acts like a wireless router (up to 5 computers or devices can connect) in such a small package. It is easy to use and connects to the Sprint network in about 5 seconds when it goes into power saver mode. Great product.

Better than Advertised

Pros: Durable, great reception, excellent wifi range
Cons: needs more kbytes to be primary connection
The range and quality of this device is excellent. the WIFI range is better than the 33 ft specified in the literature.
The connectivity is also excellent with good reception and reliability even in the most difficult places I frequent.
I will use the MIFI to replace the Land Line Broadband services at my permanent residence and my vacation cabin as well as providing reliable service when I'm traveling in my Motor Home.
Better service in more locations at a reduced cost. What's not to Like.

Too cool for words...

Pros: Stylish
I just replaced my data card with the MiFi. I kept looking for some wires or discs when I opened it up. It literally only needed a charge and a push of the power button to start working. That's it!
I run a Macbook and a PC and both are connecting great. I even had a friend tell me his dad runs with it in his pocket and streams radio to his mp3.

Perfect for my MacBook w/ Snow Leopard OS

I skeptically purchased the mifi due to I had upgraded my operating system on my MacBook to Snow Leopard operating system and my original wireless card was incompatible with it. Upon receiving the mifi, I ran into a minor issue of trying to configure it to my MacBook. With the direction of customer service over the phone and minimal time, I was able to configure it effortlessly with the System preferences --> network--> Assistant wizard (come to find out it is very easy and felt like an idiot). After configuring it to my machine, it worked like a charm! Now, both of my USB ports are free, its faster than my original wireless card, picks up a better signal, and no awkward device hanging off my machine. It worked exceptionally well while traveling. I would place the mifi close to the window and take my laptop into the other room and work away! I made a temporary hotspot for my coworkers to work off the connection while on the road and traveling in a cab. Here we were 3 of us working in cab on our laptops. A business man's paradise!

This has been the most wonderful wireless product. My husband and I use this at expos all over the country and on the road. I have been able to connect everywhere with several machines.

THIS IS A GREAT LTTLE DEVICE, I REVIEWED THIS A LTTLE WHILE AGO GIVING IT GREAT RATINGS AND I STILL GIVE IT TOP RATINGS, BUT I HAVE SOME INFO THAT THE MANUAL DOES NOT TALK ABOUT, I FOUND OUT THAT U CAN HOOK IT UP TO UR COMPUTER VIA USB, POWER THE MIFI AND GO ONLINE AT THE SAME TIME, THE WAY THAT THIS CAN BE DONE IS YOU HAVE TO GO TO SPRINTS WEBSITE AND DOWNLOAD THERE SOFTWARE CALLED "SPRINT SMARTVIEW", NOW IN DOING THIS IT WILL KILL THE WIRE LESS SIGNLE FROM THE MIFI WHEN IT IS CONNECTED TO THE USB CABLE BUT IT WILL STILL GIVE INTERNET SIGNLE VIA THE USB CABLE. TRY IT!! :)

Cons: no gps out.
This is a big jump forward for wireless broadband. I recommend this card to anyone who has a wifi device. It is great being able to set up a hotspot anywhere I am and not worry about avaliblity. One downside is no NENA out for gps usage. Possibly something that could be fixed by a firmware update.

eh It's OKKK...

Honestly it's probably the best of all the networks.. but it still has issues. I find the blasted thing turning off all the time.. even when it is plugged in. I played with the settings to make sure it was always on.. and it claims it configured but continues to do the same thing. Macs have problems with this.. I can't connect to the IP to configure or view how much time I've spent on it. Which is bad because I love using my Mac.
Over all though.. it does what it says it does and sprint has quick service. I've used this in the car while driving connecting 4 computers and lag was normal.. somewhat.
I still wouldn't recommend it.. Get a land line.

Excellent Product - A MUST HAVE!!!

I just received my mifi yesterday. When I got home it only took a click of a button and we were all connected. Installation was a breeze and the connection was awesome. My kids were in their bedroom, I was in mine and my sister was in hers and all got an excellent reception and connection. The speed is awesome..Don't listen to the negative reviews, this is a must have if you need multiple connections. AAA++++++++
P.S. I live in an area where we cannot get DSL or anything.

Excellent device with only a few caveats

Cons: battery life battery life battery life
Nice little device for a business user. If you can expense this little guy, please do so! Acts as a multi-port router as well as a wi-fi hotspot. For the business user that lives, works, sleeps, and breathes by information getting around quickly and efficiently then the HTC Touch Pro2 and this device with the Simply Everything Plan is by far the best way to go.
If you need connectivity quickly with only a second or two notice, this device is perfect. They have a fairly decent interface for you to modify connection settings, etc. as well. It's not uncommon that I turn it on, and put it in my laptop bag before meetings. If I need something quickly, bang, there I go. I am online within two-to-five seoonds.
There are some fairly interesting cons to this device though: The biggest con is if you have to connect to a VPN. HOLY COW YOUR BATTERY WILL DIE IN NO TIME! This is such a major concern I simply purchased an extra usb to micro-usb cable to connect to the device when in use. The second fairly large con is the fact that the battery gets extremely hot when connecting to a VPN! I almost wonder if the little thing needs a heatsink. That is no joke, it get's really, really hot. I worry about that effecting the longevity of the device.
Overall, data-plan, device capabilities, and flexibility have made this an extremely valuable tool within my mobile office arsenal. Typically you do not have to dink around with USB devices or anything else. Enable wireless, turn on the wifi, and away you go. There are also enough security settings to please any sys admin as well. We all know how cranky they can get.

Works Really Well most of the time

Pros: Stylish, completely wireless
My spouse and I got this unit to replace a year old Sierra Wireless usb connected aircard, which never worked very well. The Novatel unit works soooo much better and we now have satisfactory Internet service in the rural area that we currently live. We love that you can place it ANYWHERE you want for the best reception. It has really made our lives better because we no longer have to sit around waiting for pages to load. Also, we can both use the Internet at the same time now (although it does split the band width). I have never had to use satellite Internet service, but our neighbors have it and it beats the speed of that hands down.

Pros: portability
Taken it to several places, no problem with connectivity. Signal strength listed as excellent. No dropped signals (so far).
Works well on the road. Have not tried it with the car moving.Will follow-up later

This is the Bomb!

Great connectivity, easy to install (and I'm no pro) amazing hot spot ability. Took this houseboating and we had 5 people connected to my little MiFi. Loaned it to some friends to take to the beach and I think they may go switch to Sprint just to get this product. I know other companies have jumped on the bandwagon but so far as I know (and I did my research before buying it) all the other companies have data limits even on the "unlimited."
