Bought the Sanyo 8400 when it first came out, was actually my first Sprint phone when I joined them. To this day, the phone has yet to let me down. I've tried other Sprint phones (including PDA's) but I still find myself switching back to my Sanyo 8400 from time to time.
It's been dropped several times, it keeps kicking. In areas where reception was bad on my Instinct or Touch Diamond, the Sanyo 8400 proved itself ocne again, picking up an extra bar that the other two could not.
The sanyo 8400 is also "3g" so just about anything you can do on your Razr2 or other powervision phone, can also be done on this one. That includes downloading the latest games and apps from the Sprint Digital Lounge.
Sure it's not as fancy as some of the newer phones, but for a phone at least, it gets the job more than done. Sprint TV actually looks BETTER on my sanyo 8400 than it did on my Instinct!
While Sprint has officially discontinued the sanyo 8400 you can still find them on the cheap on ebay. I bought one for $35 shipped just as a spare. That one has also been dropped - and it keeps kicking not knowing when to give up. Try dropping your Instinct or Diamond and see what happens!
Excellent phone especially for durability and reception!
