Just didn't like the phone

As far as the phone is concern, It was very static on all calls, also drop many calls, No camara, the "Push email was great. Thle RIM text system is also great, I'm going to upgrade to the curve, I want to stay with Blackberry. Just didn't like the phone.

Pretty Decent Phone

This is a decent phone. If you're loooking for your first smart/PDA phone, and just want to be ablt to keep intouch via email and be able to get quick info from the web, I'll recommend this. If you're an advanced smart phone / PDA user, then you might want smothing with more punch to it.

This phone is horrible!! I can't hear it ring and I can't hear the people who call me talking even thought he volume is on the highest level. The battery often goes from 3 bars down to nothing in less an hour. I am sorry I bought this useless junk!!

This phone is lack of features. Basically only relaly good for checking email. Terrible about keeping service, and doesnt deal with the service since my wife doesnt have the same problems. This phone constantly restart its self for no reason. If you buy expect to be using a refurbished model very soon since once you have to get it serviced, which trust me you will, you will be recieving a refurbished model in the mail. By the way im on my third refurbished phone. All in all just not the best phone ive ever had, probably not the worst phone out there, but should seriously be taken off of sprints phone line up. Go with the newer models.

Having previously used Treos, i was particular about not having a touch screen or stylus and not having a useless camera. This phone has met my every need and then some (The phone-as-modem feature has proven extremely handy when there is spotty wireless connection). My only minor complaint is that there is not a full keyboard which is noticible if you text or email a lot. but the tradeoff was a slimmer design which makes it easier to handle.

This is not a bad phone, it could be a little smaller but overall it's pretty good. The game locks up at times and when your in a department store it drops signal's so you can't go to far in a big store or it will loose signal.

The reason I purchased this phone is because it was the only phone with all of the features I wanted that does not have a camera. I cannot have camera phones where I work, so this was the best option. It certainly serves its purpose for me.
Hmm...well, first and foremost it's a phone, and it does its primary job successfully. PDA style of backing up data on PC's is great! Ability to surf the web, and access personal email accounts as well. Bluetooth feature is good. and again, this phone is perfect for me in that it does not have a camera.
The major problems are that the battery doesn't always last long, even on some days when I'm not using it much. Also, it sometimes just reboots for no apparent reason; a BIG inconvenience if in the middle (or end) of a long email, as there is no auto-recovery.
Overall, I say this phone is just average.

horrible phone...hard to read display...no camera...features hard to use..scroll key on side is a pain to used. this is by far the worst phone i have ever owned or used...
do not buy this phone...if some one gives this phone to you give it back...

It's great for viewing emails and such for your internet mail accounts, but phone quality is poor. Often I have to hang up and redial who I just called because they can't hear me (Phone mutes for no apparent reason). I do like the portability it gives me with the wireless net access without having another wireless card to plug into the laptop, just use the phone.

This model is very out-of-date in its appearance. I didn't realize it didn't have a camera when I ordered it off of the internet. I enjoy having a BlackBerry, but I'm sorry I didn't check it out at the store first. Now I'm stuck with it until I can order a new one in two years (which I will definitely shop around for).

The Horrible 7130 Blackberry

This is a horrible phone. As much I paid for this phone when it first came out is a shame. I had to replace this phone (blackberry 7130) five times. This is crazy. I just replaced the phone and still is not working worth the original price. What is wrong with Sprint and their phones.

Could be better for the cost

I agree with another post. The phone lacks considerably in capability with browsing the Internet when viewing (or rather trying to view) multimedia video. It also seems to have a hard time maintaining its connection to the Internet when I use the 'phone as modem' feature. The phone also seems to be a bit too buggy, in that this is the fourth one I've had in two years. I tend to have to take the battery out every week or two so the phone can reset itself and start working properly. This seems to happen over time. The phone seems to stop working in some fashion or another and the problem only gets worse with the passage of time. I want a newer, more reliable model but of course to upgrade is VERY expensive if you haven't crossed the upgrade eligibility mark yet. I generally like Blackberrym, and I intend to stick with the brand, but not THIS phone. The 8830 seems like a nice model.
Also, just an idea...the track wheel and / or pearl ball is fine, but what would Blackberry say to adding a touch screen feature??

The 7130e is like grandma's car. It is an oldy, a classic that in it's time was state of the art. Unfortunately it's time is gone and it was surpassed long ago by technology.
Yes I can surf the net (as long as I don't want to view graphics), and it does have ring tones (like an old hammond organ compared to today's keyboards) and don't even get me started on video (what's that Blackberry?).
And the cost of wanting to use the 7130e is ridiculous. We pay $70/mo for service (base plan for 2 phones), an additional $25 in services such as insurance and roadside assistance, then I get slammed with $39 for the Blackberry data package - OUCH!!

I cant stand this phone, its had problems since the day i got it, such as buttons not working the way they should. also everything is easily twice as expensive just cause its labeled *blackberry*. no camera, no downloads, nothings made easy with this phone.

The 7130 is a great Blackberry to start with, but I find myself wanting a full size keyboard. Also, the OS on this phone does not support media such as MP3 or video as the newer Blackberry models do. All in all, though, I am very pleased. I have had it for almost ayear and a half,a nd the battery life is still good.
