Cons: Did not meet expectations, Bulky, no wifi, slow, trackball issues
I had to exchange six of these. The phone kept crashing from apps in BB's own app world or the well known trackball problems were an issue. I replaced with the HTC Hero and am now very please. BB was a complete disappointment. The phone lags and is very slow, even on good days. Wait for the next version (the Essex) that has wifi and a trackpad or skip altogether.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, trackball issues, lock button doesnt click, screen rippples, loose battery door
bought phone thinking it would be better than curve. it is definitely very sleek and stylish, but has some major build quality issues. first phone- headphone jack was weird, trackball malfunctioned. took back and they exchanged it. second phone trackball worked at first, then was as bad as first. then memory card stopped working, then internet didn't work. just got a new one today. this one works fine, but lock button doesnt click, it works, doesnt click. feels like a microwave button where theres no feedback. also when you press the trackball the screen ripples on the bottom. also the battery door is loose on every one. kind of disappointing, would NOT recommend to a friend because of these issues. go for a different smartphone!

i am currently on my fourth one due to trackball not working other than that it is a great phone i think blackberry should step up and get rid of the trackball at least on other networks u have the choice to opt for a different blackberry with out a trackball. or even the option of easy replacement the tour has to be taken completely apart to be replaced and that stresses the top cover that just clips in and it wont ever fit the same after doing so.

It is better than the Instinct that I just had. I am new to Blackberry and purchased it to travel with. Once I test it in other countries I will know for sure if I can give it "2 thumbs up and a snap" or a "I turn my back on you attitude."

I recently updated from a HTC SNAP to the Blackberry TOUR and I absolutely love it! At first I was nervous about getting it because all the apps on the phone made it look to "busy" for me. But once you start exploring the phone, it is really simple. Camera quality is great. Direct email access. Wonderful volume and media. Love the calendar and task button. You can't go wrong with this phone...makes being on the go so much easier. Anything you need, this phone has...and if there is something in particular you want you can add it. Also it has "word to-go", "excel to-go" etc, very helpful. So far I have found that I can customize everything. I sent a song to my email that is attached to my phone and downloaded the music...which is now my ringtone--the whole song by the way...you will never have to buy ringtones, as long as you have the music on your computer and can download it to your phone. On the main page you can customize your "favorite tabs" or the ones you use the most. Also I love that it is bulky because the keyboard is alot bigger than most phones, which makes typing easier. Also it comes with a carring case..not that it looks cool, but definately protects your phone when its in the purse or car...or around young children :) ..the price is large but you will get over that after you start enjoying all the benefits it has to offer..and you will realize it is worth it. I can definately see myself having this phone for the next two years, and then upgrading to the next Blackberry Tour! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am!!
One downfall..I have to charge it every night..but with all my interaction with the phone..the battery life is pretty good. Also the sales rep told me to never start charging your phone on the car charger because it will burn up the battery and when you go home to use the home adapter..the phone will not charge very well and that you will find yourself charging your phone more and more.

Everything but the battery and keyboard

Well, I think the headline says it all. I like everything about the Blackberry Tour but the battery and the keyboard. I am a big guy with fat fingers and the keys are closer together than the keys on the Curve (my son's phone). This leads to some fat fingering while texting. But, compared to the screen I would have to give up to get the Curve I will deal with the fat fingering. The battery is also not much to excite me. I was having a problem with my battery only lasting hours, without use. But I have learned that you need to "close" the apps you have used, especially the browser, or else they will keep on sucking battery life even though you are not using them. Other than those two items I am in love. The screen is vibrant and crisp. The sound quality is clear and there are more apps that I know what to do with. One thing I will mention is that the Sprint TV is not much to write home about. Unless you are willing to pay extra for the Sprint TV Xtra then don't expect much.

When the new Blackberry Tour came out, I HAD to have it. I have had a Blackberry Curve for a year and loved it. With the new tour it has software similar to MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint so I can make last minute changes to my docs. It is great for texting, facebook, and internet use. I also LOVE the NFL live app! Takes great pics and videos which was wonderful when my baby was in the NICU. I have zero complaints for this phone, I LOVE IT!

I was eligible for a upgrade so i decided to get get a touchscreen phone so i tried it for couple weeks i decided i couldnt hang. so i went back and exchanged for a 9630 and it has been awesome. I got my battery life back over 2 days compared to 1 day on my touchscreen phone and i txt and call alot of folks. overall a great experience i definitely recommend the ready now program

I love this phone! It's really slick, and it's clean cut and sturdy. The camera is great, and the phone is easy to navigate. It took some time to explore lots of things, and there's still more, but that's not a bad thing! This phone is amazing, and I think that almost everyone would like it. And the fact that it's 80% recycled materials? Awesome! BEST new way to help go green. Good sound, good photos, it's definitely durable, not that bulky at all, doesn't drop calls, the price was great, and it flew over my expectations. Not the biggest buttons, but they aren't tiny, either. Perfect phone!

I returned my BB Tour. I couldn't understand anyone who called unless it was Sprint, the GPS didn't work unless I was within a few miles of my home, other times when used, it dropped service several times during directions. The curved keys are too small and close together making texting difficult.
While I loved the features of the phone, most of them didn't work for me and sadly I returned the phone and I am back to usning a dinosaur phone.

This is the best phone I've ever had!!! I initially had some issues with my trackball but when I udjusted the sesitivity all was well. The phone is extremely loud which I love and as long as Im not continuously on Pandora radio the battery last along time.

BB Tour is the best phone I ever had, I would advise anyone to get the BB Tour you will no regret buying it. I love the texting and email service, it's fast. Also the MMS is great to send pic mail as well. EXCELLENT PHONE I AM VERY HAPPY with my BB Tour.

I love this phone! And it does everything I wanted it to do! What I wanted: 1) a phone, 2) email access to all my emails (Work, Yahoo, MSN) and 3) Sync up to my work calendar. And it does it!!!!!
The signal is great and I am surprised the battery life is so good.
It is definitely a phone that you can take out of the box and start using it without having to read all the manuals! I love that there are tons of apps too. The screen is awesome and internet access is great too.
Blackberry has come a long way since I had one 2 years ago. I am so glad I came back to Blackberry!

The tour 9630 is just an awesome phone. I hated blackberry phones but i love this this one. The only problem is that the battery will die pretty quick but other than that it is good.
