I think a vertical shape would be more functional, at leats for me when my laptop was bumped device broke and had to be replaced....

Nice if you can get it to work, or when it is work

Pros: fast speads in 3g areas
Cons: installation issues
I have tried the install on Vista Business 32-bit using the included drivers / software, and the generic drivers from Sierra Wireless and neither works very well. (To be fair... it was working perfectly on XP Pro before I upgraded.)
Issues: Takes up to 15 to 20 minutes to install, doesn’t recognize that it has been installed and drivers try to reinstall themselves after each computer reboot. Device is not convenient for vertical USB slots on side of laptops as unit may not allow computer to sit flush. It does come with an extension cord to somewhat overcome that issue.
These issues are not exclusive to me. I found several different threads on the internet use groups of people with similar problems and none of the few solutions have worked for me.

Nice piece of equipment

received my air card last week and after using it for that period of time I can say that it is one good air card.
1)installs easily all you do is plug it in usb port
2)connectivity is awesome we live in a rural area and it works fine. Thanks to sprint's network.
3)faster than cable modem, called the cable guys wed to come get their modem!!!
4)Way easier to use than cell phone for a modem.
I would recomend this to everyone I think it is that good. Thanks Sprint.

The self-installing feature is great for Windows. Just plug it in, no need to carry a CD.
Speed isn't lightning fast, but good enough. I really like the SD card feature too.
When buying this device, one of my deciding factors was that it is was supposed to "work" with Linux. The self-install feature does NOT work with Ubuntu 8.10 or any other distro. One can still install it on Linux, but it's a real pain if one was expecting the self-install feature. Other than that it's a great device.

Pros: works in out of the way places
Such a great product. I have been on dialup for some years, This doesnot even compare. the service is great. I live in a very rural area, get 40 % most days, and i love it thanks

We live in the sticks, first dial up then one way cable, years later still one way cable, Got this little gizmo and ON the 3g in our area
it Kicks the cable modem in the but, drop the cable modem get this and surf surf surf, can be networked too. Wish I would have got this last year WAY TO GO SPRINT!!

Great connection card

This is a great connection card. I never had a problem connecting to the internet anywhere I was at, at anytime. You can turn your computer on and be hooked up with a matter of minutes. i never had any problems with this connecting, or disconnecting. The speeds are quite fast, and I have eliminated getting cable internet because of this fast connection, and the mobility of this card.
The only downfall to this product is the card does not bend up, it sticks straight out of my laptop, taking up too much space, and have had to replace ot once because it broke in half. If this was able to bend upward this product would be abosolutely perfect!

Cons: Did not meet expectations, Price
If you are only going to search web then this is your card. There was no warning that you are near or approaching 5G's. Kept having to reconnect to internet. Its not for doing a lot of downloads. For the price and the fact that you have to keep it for 2 years it should be unlimited access.

Cons: freezes
this is the worst phone ever do not get it. i know it looks so cool but it stinks. the buttons break all the time and the phone is always freezing on me. you are making a big mistake if you purchase this phone.

I was a Verizon Aircard user for 2 yrs. I always complained about how slow my internet ran. At first I thought it was my computer.
After installing the Sierra Aircard and using it, I realized it was not my computer it was just Verizons Data coverage that was slow.
When sprint talks about "Sprint Speed" they really do mean it. I would recommend this product to all of my friends and customers.
It works wonderfully with my Windows Vista. Makes me like my Laptop even more now. Thanks Sprint and Sierra Wireless for a great product. Now if only it would swivel... :)

Pros: great for standard surfing or email, nice price
Cons: updates not "user friendly", too short extension
Owned for 6 months now. Needed two software updates that I had to hunt for. Updates are not offered you have to search. As far as price, decent price for 5GB. Does great for standard surfing or email checking, anymore than that and you will probably go over. Downloaded two movies and went over. The sticker shock got me. Only real problem is if you let it idle, you will get disconnected. Must use extension for good reception, and then too short of a cord for laptops.

Great Connection, Great Device

I just purchased the USB Broadband Card a few days ago, it works great. I have tried it indoors using my notebook computer and I get a strong signal using the notebook clip compared to inserting on the side of my notebook. I have TrendMicro Antivirus Protection on my computer and it's working propertly.
I would recommend everyone to purchase this USB Broadband Card.

Cons: doesn't stay connected, gets an error all the time
We got this on because the software was already on the device so I thought that this was one of the better ones. Well 4 months later it doesn't stay connected so it shuts down in the middle of something. When I try to logon to the internet I have to reboot my laptop(which is horrible). I wish I somebody would have told me the trueth about this one.
