sprint mobile broadband was good when i first got i but for the past two months has been horrible. Multiple calls to tech support have done nothing the connection speeds are almost always worse than dial up, most every web page can take a matter of minutes to load

It was very easy to unstall and has a quick start up but for me it cuts off all the time and loses connection then there were times when it wouldn't start at all.

For the most part it's handy . Here in Indy connections are slow and surfing isn't much faster then dial-up.

Smooth Sailing on the East Coast

I've been using the PX-500 card for nearly 3 months.
The card is easy to install and the connection speed is just outstanding.

I live in Rhode Island, and work in southern Rhode Island.
No connection problems.

I visited Concord, New Hampshire. (several hundred miles away from home)
No connection problems.
No connection problems.
Great for checking e-mails, surfing the web, watching online videos (like YouTube).
I've downloaded movies from ITunes, etc.
I'm not a Gamer... so, I don't have any feedback for on-line video games.
I selected the PX-500 card because I didn't want to tie up a USP Port with an internet connection.
SPRINT has delivered.

The guys at the sprint store thought we could not get service in our area, but gets all five bars! But if you don't have the antenna up you don't get any service. The device is a little pricey, but considering the very small size compared to the other devices, you couldn't go wrong. You don't even have to install the software from the CD, you plug it in, and it already has the software on the device. The only problem is that its hard to install and get it to work on Linux, but not much people have Linux.

I use this devise on a Mac. The fact that it is a USB makes it compatible. The software is not compaitble with the mac, but it is not needed as there are drivers that are compatible with the Mac installed. The only problem that I experience is when the service is week, it picks up another tower for another carrier. It also takes me several tries to connect to the network throught the card. Once I am connected, it is great.

great phone except for bloothting i still cant figure out how to bluetooth songs from my phone to another. besides that its a wonderful piece of device . good job sprint!!

Great aircard - I use an USB extend cable!

This is a great flexible way to access fast speed over the air! Can use on laptop, desktop, whatever (haven't tried it on my TIVO yet). The easy software is great. The only reason I didn't rate connectivity and Performance as 10 (i rated at 9) is probably Sprint air coverage, not this little aircard. I use a 8 inch USB extension cable so it doesn't stick out funny from the machine. GREAT!

Palm Centro - Excellent Entry Level PDA Phone!

This is an excellent entry level PDA Phone! However, when used with Sprint PCS service, the manufacturer (Palm) free built-in voice command dialing feature has been deactivated by Sprint in order to push their monthly paid service ($6.00+ US) instead (money before customer safety). There is a one time paid solution (software) available for $29.00 US that will accomplish the same thing. Sprint will probably enable the feature once someone has been seriously injured or dies as a consequnce from them disabling this free/standard safety feature provided by phone manufacturers.

good card

this is really a great aircard i was tired of living in hotels and not being able to connect to the wireless internet even with the jacks at the hotel that was slow and most of the time i was still unable to connect to the internet, i purchased this card and get on every time with speed. I like the size it fits into the leather case and is easily carried in my laptop bag. it fits snuggly into the usb port on the side of my laptop and easily connects to the internet, the installation was a breeze i would suggest this card to anyone

and better than Bell South DSL too. Wasn't impressed with the price but I have been using it for a year in the swamp with good connections AND speed. Not too crazy about the size and the way it sticks out on the lap top even tho I've learned to be aware of it. It doesnt bother me when Im on the destop bc its out ofthe way and its out of sight. the thing that initally sold me on this was the USB factor so for that I gave it a ten. I'm not too thrilled about Sprints CS but i do feel that they have good products and in this case the better speeds. Now only if we can get this great devices at great prices

I had to buy this because at the time Sprint did not have an air card for my Dell. I do not like the way it sticks out from the side or back(from a USB) of my notebook. I'm always scared it will get cuaght on something or bent it if hit. As soon as my contract is up I will get an aircard that goes in to side. As for Sprints service it is great I get high speeds everyware I go.

The USB modem is a good value, particularly for me. I live in an area that is rather remote, but close enough to an interstate to receive some inconsistant signal. Sprint does not consider my home area within their reception area, but the reception is good enough to satisfy me. The antenna can be damaged easily, so be careful with it. Otherwise, the versatility of using it at home and on trips it really nice.

The device served fairly well in the 9 month I had it. The USB connection always concerned my and one day the laptop got bumped while the card was in. It bent the connection back and card stopped working. Having no warranty and no help from Sierra I was able to take it apart and micr solder the pins back in place...Good as new...Until the cat jumped up onto my lap and bent it again...
Even though the saleman said I qualified for the rebate Sprint came back and said I bought 2 days too late. In essence I paid about $200 for something that was useful for 9 months. I just bought the Novatel EX720. Hopefully that will be more durable.
