cannot wait for 2 years to be up!

I guess I was spoiled by my former phone. though I just need a basic phone and I like the looks and feel of this one, iit drives me a little nuts. The battery doesn't even seem to last 24 hours -- even if I am not using it! And when the battery dies, it gives no warning, except a sound as it turns off. If I don't happen to be next to the phone when it turns off, I have no idea that the battery is dead. Also with missing calls...if it is in my purse and I don't hear it ring, there is no other audible warning that I can tell except for a red light. If it is in my purse, I may not notice I have a message for hours. Also, the ring is so quiet -- I tried to find one that could get my attention, but finally had to leave vibrate on too...just so I have a better chance of knowing that it is ringing. Also, when I make a call, even with a strong signal, sometimes it takes forever to begin ringing... Sigh! I have a year to go before I can get a good price on a replacement phone. Cannot wait!

My son has had 3 phones so far. This last one has lasted about 4 months. After a period of time charging the phone (which he does every night), he can't get it to charge. Right now he is in the process of switching batteries every day with his father (since they have the same phone) so he can get his battery charged. This is just crazy. If they realize that there is a design flaw with the battery/charging (which they told me they realized there was), then just give us a different phone all together. Makes no sense.

Ok simple phone

I just wanted a simple phone to use when away from home, I don't text, but could if I wanted. I don't use the camera thats what I have a digital camera for. This XL160 does the job, the battery life isn't as long as the previous cell phones I've had, but it does the job when away from home. My calls don't drop when talking, buttons and features are great for my small hands. All and all this phone fits my needs.

I liked my prior phone from Sprint a lot better. The poor battery life is not apparent in mine but I do keep it plugged in when I can.
The buttons are too small for my hands and I really have a hard time with the flip open because of its size. Had I known more about this phone, I would have chosen a different one. It was free with our plan update so I guess the value is OK.
Better luck next time to all who have this rather unpopular phone.

i absolutly hate this phone. it doesn't keep signal. and the battery runs out super fast. even if you DON'T use it! it's so undescribable how much i hate this phone.

This phone is by far the worst piece of junk EVER! I have had it for a LoNg THREE months. It is slow, I type in a number and it will not appear on the screen for a while, sometimes jumbled up and backwords. Then it would drop calls all the time. My final and worst complaint, I heard rambling in my phone one day. I opened the back and was looking around the battery and all of a sudden 3 tiny little screws randomly FELL out!
I have never not once droped it.
*THIS PHONE STINKS* I bought a new phone...and am going to have my fun distoying this one :O)

Sorriest Phone Ever Made

This is by far the worse cell phone I have ever owned. As soon as my contract is up, I will be going over to Verizon, maybe sooner, who knows. Like so many of these other comments, it does not hold a strong signal at all, and after reading these other comments, I may be switching to Verizon in the next 3 weeks, I will at least see this month bill through to completion.

Terrible Phone

I wanted a basic phone that looks good and the LX160 fit the bill. However, you would think that without any bells and whistles there would be excellent battery life. My assumption was wrong. This phone has the worst battery life I have ever had since the 90's. Reception is also lacking but may be a Sprint issue as this is my first phone with Spring. I was a long time AT&T customer. I have been using this phone for months now and can tell you that you should look elsewhere for a basic phone.

After a year, the phone no longer gets any reception. It worked fine the first year I had it, but now I no longer have reception in any of the spots I used to. The phone's user design is clunky for a simple, basic user. I would prefer fewer features and options and a very basic phone (e.g. I have to scroll down my contacts for each call I make). Also, voicemail did not keep track of calls made to it... the numbers did not show up on the phone. Overall, not a good choice for a basic phone.

My old phone was much better, the Sprint Rep said this was a big upgrade from what I had before. Maybe on paper, but that's about it. The buttons are in a lousy place (side of phone). The sound quality is not good. Some ring tones are loud, some aren't. I need to charge phone every night or it dies, this has been since I bought the phone. It's just not user friendly.

Great phone, short battery life

The signal strength seems lower then my previous phone, and the battery life is terrible.
Other then that this is a great phone. It's simple, small, easy to use, has all the important features a phone needs without a bunch of extra fluff.

This phone is junk, it will freeze up on you just like a computer would, sometimes I've even had to take the battery out to get it to unfreeze. My buttons all started sticking, or not typing the right letters when I try to text. the wxyz button displays a capitol Y and a + or sometimes a capital W 0 when i press it. . .making txting a challenge. My battery might last me 12 hours, and I'm not on the phone all day. The camera requires an extreme amount of light to take a picture that doesn't come out looking like a shadow. All and all not worth the money, get a better phone!!

I ended up buying this phone after my last phone from Sprint was stolen. Seeing as how my contract with them is up soon, and I am not planning on renewing it, I decided it would be better to just buy the cheapest phone they had. However, after having the phone for about a month the screen went white and it stopped working. I returned it and got another one in return. The phone restarts randomly, and sometimes, the screen goes black and white. It's insane. If I select specific options on the phone itself, the phone restarts. Sometimes, while texting, if I pressed the space button at all, the phone would restart. Anyway, long story short, now some of the buttons have stopped working altogether. The battery life can be fixed if you turn off the backlight and keypad light. I charge my phone around every fourth day and I use it heavily. Anyway, all in all, this phone sucks and I can't wait until my contract is over.

Have had this phone since October and my husband has one too. Voice mail alert qui't working on both about 3 months ago. Have spent hours on the phone trying to get this resolved with Sprint and they can't fix it, so you never know when you have a voice mail unless you constently check it by going to it, which uses minutes. Additionally, battery life does not last as promised, and on my phone, not my husband's, people who I'm talking to fade in and out. Reception is terrible in my home while my daughter's Katana II works perfectly here. To use the phones in the house, we have to go in certain rooms and stand by the window. THIS IS NO BARGAIN. You get what you pay for. Buy the Katana II instead. We are trying to get Sprint to take these awful things back and give us Katanas at a reasonable price. The LX 160 is junk!

I really like my LG160. The number pad lights up and I like the green "talk" and red "end" It is so slim and so easy to use and I have a friend who is looking to get one!!!

This phone was ok in the beginning but hard to text...some of the buttons are hard to work...preloaded ringtones not worth anything....sucks has no camera on it but has bluetooth....if i had a choice next time i assure you I would not choose this phone nor would i recommend it to anyone else....

This phone is lightweight, has good sound and is easy to use. Never a dropped call and reliable text messaging. My only complaint is the too-short battery life, which could be an issue for those with heavy usage.

Have had this phone less than 30 days and the battery won't stay charges longer than an hour & less if I am using the phone.
