this phone sucks!

this phone broke on me in 3 different trys . absolute crap!this model cracked in the same spot every time,right across the fold into the top screen!

It's a good phone for the price

I've had this phone since Dec. '07. As the title suggests, it's a good phone for the price. It's served it's purpose. While I expected a better camera, better video, and better sound, it's been a pretty solid phone. The battery has been great and after dropping it a few times, it's a little beat-down, but it still works pretty good. This is actually the first cell phone I've ever had, and I've had pretty good luck with it, because I've heard some horror stories about other phones, so if you're looking for a good value, this is a good phone to get.

I have had this phone for about 9 months. It shuts off by its self while i am texting. The F.M. transmitter is difficult to figure out how to operate. The external speaker is not loud. The hand set is too low even when turned up. I wish i had gotten a different phone.

shuts off by its self.

ive had this phone for 4 months. It turns off by its self. the camera takes the worst pics. I could be in the middle of a text or checking emails and it just turns its self off.. it never lets me know when i have voice mails. over all the only thing its good for is the music other than that it just isnt the phone for me. i wish that i never would have got it.

Its actually too good and true!

This is the best phone I have ever had and believe me I have tried ALOT. I love this phone it has the longest battery life than any phone, it has speed and its user friendly. I would only improve the graphics software and lack of picture sharing. I recommend this phone to anyone that forgets to charge their phone or likes things you can depend on.

A Good Phone at a Good Price

This phone is everything you would expect an MP3 Player-phone to be. The FM Transmitter is a nice feature that is unique :) It is definitely a unique phone with many features. The only problem I have had with this phone is the Speaker Phone capability. I can hear the caller clearly however, they can not hear me very well. So I never use that feature. Overall, this phone has withstood many drops without damage. I have had this phone for a year now and I still love it. If only it came in a PURPLE color (hint hint) :)

I absolutely LOVE this phone. I've had it since November of 2007 and I haven't had a problem with it. The MP3 player is awesome and easy to access. The camera is decent enough for a cell phone. Has easy access to everything really. With the favorites menu I can access the web, send a text, go to my tip calculator... anything I want in just a couple seconds. Only thing that is slightly annoying is a beep that occurs while talking (just a short beep every two or three minutes while talking. It doesn't bother me, but it bothers any friend that borrows my phone). The battery life is sporadic at best, lasting anywhere from a day to four days. If I put it in my locker at work it's an instant drain and will be close to death by the time my shift is over. A car charger and charging the phone at night solve any potential battery problems.
As for screen problems, it's never been an issue for me. My screen is still functional. It has a few scratches, but that's from dropping it on pavement a few times. It's very durable. I'm clumsy and prone to dropping things, including my phone. The fact that it only has two or three scratches on it and isn't completely trashed really says something for it's quality.
Overall, I'm glad I bought this phone and I'm really gonna be hard pressed to find one that I'll like better than this one when it's time to get a new one in November.

I got this phone as a replacement for the M1, it doesnt have ALOT of the features the M1 did but ive had it for 1 year and a half and its proven to be a good phone. i love how its sleek and classy rather than bulky and industrial like the M1, it doesnt have as much storage but it has a better camera. the only problem i really had with this phone was that excessive side button use caused the hinge to become wiggly and eventually crack. other wise its a great phone for testing, quick downloads, and internet. i tend to be clumsy and this phone has held up after many meetings with the pavement!

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

The Good: Fantastic MP3 player. The FM Xmitter is wonderful. Sound quality rivals CDs and live radio. It lives up to its name. Slim design and looks good. fits easily in pocket. Sprint TV, etc looks good on the screen as does the Nav App. Internet access is good and reliable...oh and it works great as a phone too.
The Bad: camera is weak and speaker phone is junk.
The Ugly: WTF is up with the battery? on a full charge, i'm lucky if it makes it to lunch time.
I'm about to upgrade to a smart phone, but I will keep my Muziq around just to jam to my tunes. (you can add music via USB from computer)

OK Phone Bad Battery

I had this phone for just about 10 months. It was good for me until I had to go on a road trip to Indiana. It freaked out in Oklahoma and never recovered. The Battery was the worst thing of all, I would let it charge all night long and by noon the next day i had to let it charge again. By the time i went to bed it needed to be charged yet again. So i bought a new phone and am much happier for the remainder of my contract.

I've had this phone now for 16 months now. It still works, I've dropped it a number of times, all that's happened is a crack in the front display, but it doesn't affect the display at all. I listen to music on it, thought the speaker doesn't work the best and you have to use an adapter in order to plug in headphones. Other than that, it works great for me!

i liked it when i forst got it but a few weeks into having it the phone started to randomly restart when im texting or the internet will start running from the menu screen by itself and my mp3 player never worked

this phone does not meet my standards at ALL! Everytime i charge my phone, its already fully charged with in 15-20 minutes. Then after it is used, the battery doesn't even last for a full 24hrs. My friends phones last for 2 days. I really want a new phone which i wouldn't mind for a birthday present or some sort but since the economy is a bit harder and i am a student, i can't get a new phone as i want to.

Put your mp3's into the "music" file.

After having this phone 2 years, I just discovered putting your own mp3's into the "music" folder, where it downloads music files from the Sprint store online, allows you to broadcast your own music through the FM Transmitter just like the downloads. (I used my computer and USB connection to edit the playlist file in Notepad and added the file names including .mp3 extension onto the end of the current playlist made from Sprint downloads, hitting 'enter' bar between each one, then 'Save' on notepad. Worked like a charm. Get filenames by 'renaming' file in explorer and copying it instead.) There may be *one* other person out there that didn't already know this. :) :) When I first bought the phone, the reviews said you couldn't broadcast your own music. Not true. :) You'll need to add the larger storage card tho to hold anything.

Don't fall for it...

I've had this phone three times and the screen has gone out on all three of them, currently - it's cracked? It's a terrible phone but Sprint won't let me switch out of it unless I pay full price for a different type of phone, switching to AT&T would be much cheaper. The 'muziq' quality is terrible, the internet connection is spotty at best [that may just be SPRINT'S fault], and the setup of the phone is not the least bit internet user friendly. Don't get this phone, no matter how enticing they make it sound.

Life's Good with Muziq

I have had a LG Muziq for a year and three months. Over the course of eight months, the phone was a solid build. It had minimal issues up until the "5" button start to stick and the receiver started to go out. Luckily, the replacement was semi-free and I decided to get the Total Protection Package. Since the second Muziq, I haven't had any problem with the phone.
A useful tip the bluetooth option drains the battery and cut off the keypad light and have the backlight on "dim only". This will improve the battery life. Mines went from one day to 3-6 days charged with casual use.

Good but had problems

i had this phone for 4 months and i was having problems with it. i sent it back to LG they referbished it and i was still having problems. the battery went bad, when i closed it it turned off, sometimes i had to take out the battery to turn it on, and sometimes i had to plug it up to the charger to turn it on. even though it had a full charge.

I agree with the review below - this is the worst phone I've ever purchased. I've had it for about 13 months and have had to have it replaced five or six times (on Sprint's behalf) because the Muziq phone is so glitchy. The phone will power down for no reason whatsoever. It used to be only when texting, but with the newest replacement I received last week, it will cut off completely on it's own while texting, talking, even just scrolling through your contacts and phone list! You have to unplug the battery for it to turn back on, and sometimes that won't even work. I definitely will not be purchasing any else from LG, and cannot wait for my discount to reach $150 so I can go back to Samsung phones.

this phone is a the worst phone i have ever owned, I have had it for a little over a year and the hinge on the screen has cracked over 4 times I've taken it to sprint each time to fix it and now they are telling me that they will not and i have to pay $50 for a new one what a bunch of crap! And it's not like I am applying pressure on the damn thing it gets the stress cracks from just flipping it, last time i checked flip phones were supposed to be able to flip. My dad has the same phone and he has even had the same problem. LG MUSIQ SUCKS!
